Projekt smo vizualno zastavili skupaj z društvom Tretaroka.

The Biennial of the Independents is the main promoter of contemporary Slovenian illustration. It is much more than just a periodical event that explores the areas and contexts of usage of contemporary illustration. It promotes artists, supports direct authorship and co-creates visual culture in Slovenia to establish inward- and outward reaching links. Due to its support for independent production, the event focuses mainly on uncensored works that are created specifically for the biennale or that were not made for clients but rather grew from an artist's own motives and purposes. The selection of the authors at each of the Biennial events is made by the artists who took part in the previous biennial.
The main theme is a laurel that projects an image of eminent confirmation to every participating artist, while supporting the values described above. The logo was generic and personalised as the identity was conceived in a way that would allow the contents within the laurel to be changed and altered for each artist and project. The design of the website is reminiscent of a page break, and the artists’ own sites are designed in a manner that allows them to add and change contents by themselves. The promotion material was printed on spare material used for commercial publications, meaning that it was subject to our available stock. The project was visually designed  in cooperation with Tretaroka NGO.
